Messages that carry. Private chats, groups and calls.
Atumpan is named after the talking drums that carried messages from village to village. It's the messenger we're building: private chats, groups and calls on your Agoo account, with team chat in Agoo Workspace and chat with the businesses you use.
We're building Atumpan now, as native apps for iPhone and Android. atumpan.com is where it will begin.
Private chats
Only the people in the chat can read it. End-to-end encrypted for adults' personal chats.
Personal chats between adults will be end-to-end encrypted: messages and calls can be read or heard only on the phones in the conversation. If someone reports a message, the report carries a copy that our safety team can check, so protection and safety work together.
- Voice notes, photos, files, places and polls
- Disappearing messages when you want them
- A clear note when someone's security code changes
Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and Ama can read or listen to them.

Groups and calls
The whole family, the whole team. Groups, voice and video calls.
Groups will keep a busy chat calm: replies that quote, polls that count, and receipts drawn as a pair of drums, one when it leaves you, both when it arrives, lit when it's read.
- Voice and video calls
- Works on a weak network, and sends when the signal returns
- Your phones and computer, all in step

Chat with the places you use. And with your team, in Agoo Workspace.
Businesses on Agoo and Agoo Reviews will answer customers in Atumpan, beside the WhatsApp inbox they already use, and teams will chat in Agoo Workspace. Business, team and under-18 chats are checked for safety by us: encrypted on the way and where they're kept, not end to end.
- A business's verified name on every chat
- Team chat kept with work, apart from personal chats
- Under-18s protected by default
A business chat. Encrypted on the way and where it's kept, and checked for safety. The business may have several people answering.
What it will hold. The short version.
End-to-end for adults
Adults' personal chats and calls readable only on the phones in them.
Safety that can act
Reports carry a verifiable copy, so the safety team can act on what's real.
Under-18s protected
Their chats are safety-checked, and adults can't message them out of nowhere.
One Agoo account
The same account as Amee, Agoo Reviews and Agoo Forms.
Business chat
Talk to the places you use, by their verified name.
Native apps
Built for iPhone and Android, light on data and kind to older phones.
The family
How Atumpan connects. A real link to the others, and fine on its own.
One messaging engine. It will carry Amee's inbox, team chat in Agoo Workspace, and Atumpan itself.
Each also works alone. Its own address, its own apps, its own price, so you can start with the one you need. One Agoo account carries you between them.
