Who we are
Nkonso Technologies Ltd (Nkonso) makes Agoo, Agoo Reviews, Agoo Forms, Amee and Atumpan. For this website, its forms and the emails you send us, we decide what is collected and why, so we are the data controller under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Our office is at 10A Mega Street, Adentan Municipality, Accra, Ghana. You can reach us at hello@nkonso.com or on +233 30 398 3393.
What we collect
As little as each thing needs. This website has no accounts and no sign-in.
- When you visit: like every website, the servers that deliver these pages receive your device's network address and the kind of browser it uses. They are used to deliver the page and to keep the site safe from abuse, and are kept only briefly.
- Our own counts: we count the pages people read, where visitors came from (the site's name only), their country and kind of device, and how many forms are sent each day. We keep numbers, never a record of you: a visitor is told apart for one day only, by a one-way code that changes every day, and no cookie is set. The cookie notice has the detail.
- When you apply for a role: your name, email, phone number if you give it, the link to your CV, your note, and whether you've asked us to keep your application for later roles. We may use AI to summarise applications and check for missing details; a person reads and decides every application, and no decision about you is made by a machine alone.
- When you send a partner or sales enquiry: your name, email, phone number if you give it, your organisation, your role and website if you give them, and your answers about the partnership.
- When you ask for the investor deck: your name, firm, email, role and why you'd like it. If we send you the deck, we record each time its link is opened: when, and the kind of browser and device (such as Safari on iPhone), nothing more.
- When you email us: your name, your email address and what you choose to tell us.
- On your own device: if you choose Light or Dark, your browser remembers it. That choice never leaves your device.
We don't use analytics scripts from other companies, advertising or tracking of any kind on this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| What | Why | Lawful basis (Act 843) |
|---|---|---|
| Network address and browser type | To deliver the page and protect the site | Our legitimate interest in running a safe website |
| Our own counts | To know which pages help people, and to improve them | Our legitimate interest; the counts hold nothing about you |
| An application | To consider you for the role and write to you about it | Steps you ask us to take before any agreement, which you agree to when you send it |
| A kept application, for later roles | To write to you when a role fits | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| An enquiry, or an email to us | To answer you and talk about working together | Your request, and steps you ask us to take before any agreement |
| A deck request, and when its link is opened | To decide whether to share the deck, to send it, and to know it reached you | Your request, and our legitimate interest in keeping the deck private |
We never sell personal data, and we never use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Delivery and security records: a short time, then deleted automatically.
- Our own counts: as numbers per day, with nothing about you; each day's code for telling visitors apart is deleted the next day.
- Applications: while the role is being decided. We delete one 12 months after we decide, or 24 months if you asked us to keep it for later roles; someone we hire, 24 months after the decision. An application still open when its role closed goes 12 months after the close.
- Partner and sales enquiries: 24 months after the conversation closes.
- Deck requests: 12 months after we decline one, 24 months after we share the deck, with the record of when its link was opened. Links stop working after seven days, or sooner if we withdraw them.
- Emails: as long as the conversation needs, then deleted or kept only where the law requires.
Who we share it with
What you send through this website is kept in the same secure systems as our products, and read only by the people at Nkonso who answer it. We share it only with the providers that host those systems and send our email, under contracts that require them to keep it safe and use it only for us. Some of them process data outside Ghana; where they do, we make sure the protection travels with it, as Act 843 requires.
We share personal data with the authorities only when the law requires it.
Your rights
Under Act 843 you can ask us:
- whether we hold personal data about you, and for a copy of it;
- to correct it, or to delete it;
- to stop using it, or to object to how we use it;
- to withdraw a consent you gave.
Write to hello@nkonso.com. We reply without delay, and we don't charge for it. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection, and it loads nothing from other companies. Only the people who need your messages to answer them can read them.
Our products
When you use Agoo, Agoo Reviews or Agoo Forms, that product's own privacy notice applies. You'll find each one on our Trust page. Amee and Atumpan publish theirs before they open.
